Environmental Impact Report
The City of Sierra Madre prepared The Meadows’ Environmental Impact Report (EIR) which was circulated for public review and comments for 40-days until October 4, 2021. The EIR is a complete, independent review of the plans for a new City park and a new solar-powered community to be built on underutilized land at Mater Dolorosa. The accompanying Specific Plan, which also had a 40-day review period, provides details on architecture, landscaping and other elements of plans for The Meadows.
The hundreds of pages of environmental studies show The Meadows meets all rigorous State and City requirements for environmental quality. And when it comes to traffic, water, and fire safety, The Meadows is designed to be the most sustainable project in Sierra Madre history, with all impacts found to be less than significant.
